Wednesday, June 13th: 2 Chronicles 16-18, 1 Thessalonians 3 ~ Tammy

Today's passage from the Bible In a Year Reading Plan is 2 Chronicles 16-18, 1 Thessalonians 3

1 Thessalonians 3:2a-3a We sent him to strengthen you, to encourage you in your faith,  and to keep you from being shaken by the troubles you were going through.
I remind that we need to strengthen each other, encourage each other in our faith, and keep each other from being shaken by our troubles.  Being a part of a faith community is important!  But we can't just be passive members, we must be the hands and feet of Jesus to each other.
~~~~~
12 And may the Lord make your love for one another and for all people grow and overflow, just as our love for you overflows. 13 May he, as a result, make your hearts strong, blameless, and holy as you stand before God our Father when our Lord Jesus comes again with all his holy people. Amen.
I want a strong heart, to be blameless and holy!  Notice the phrase in there "as a result".  As a result of what?  As a result of love.  When our love for others overflows with the love of God, not only do others benefit from the love we show them, but so do we.
