I loved this entire Psalm ....
Psalm 15
Lord, who can dwell in your tent?
Who can live on your holy mountain?
The one who lives blamelessly, practices righteousness,
and acknowledges the truth in his heart—
who does not slander with his tongue,
who does not harm his friend
or discredit his neighbour,
who despises the one rejected by the Lord
but honors those who fear the Lord,
who keeps his word whatever the cost,
who does not lend his silver at interest
or take a bribe against the innocent—
the one who does these things will never be shaken.
The "title" of this Psalm was "A Description of the Godly".
Is this a description of me?
Do I live blamelessly?
Do I practice righteousness?
Do I acknowledge truth?
Do I use my tongue to build up and stop myself from bad mouthing others?
Do I help, and not harm?
Do I build up the reputation of my neighbour?
Do I fear the Lord, and honour others who do too?
Do I keep my word, no matter the cost?
Am I generous?
Am I above board, even when no one is watching?
Is my foundation built on the Solid Rock so that I will not be shaken?
All of these things I can not do on my own strength. But because He abides in me (and you) and I (us) in Him, this can be a description of you and me.
