After reading these passages
one of the verses that stood out for me was Micah 6:8 “He has showed you, O
man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act
justly and to love mercy and to walk humby with your God.” This verse
made me think about whether I show mercy to those who I feel wrong me.
God is shows us mercy and forgiveness and this verse was a good reminder that I
need to do the same. These verse is a good reminder to myself that I need
to practice these areas in my life.
One other verse that stood out
for me is Micah 7:7. “But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I
wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.” The confidence Micah
showed in his faith with this verse made me realize that I need to have the
same faith in God that He always hears us when we call on him.

Those are great verses. What a reminder that God does not want empty ritual from us, He wants us to be living sacrifices.
The end of our passage reminded me of our sermon today. God bestows grace and mercy on a sinful people - it is so clear that our salvation has nothing to do with us or our merit, but on God and His faithfulness to keep His promises.
