Monday, September 9th: Isaiah 3:1-5:30, 2 Corinthians 11:1-15, Psalm 53:1-6, Proverbs 22:28-29

Today's passage from the Bible In a Year Reading Plan is
Isaiah 3:1-5:30, 2 Corinthians 11:1-15, Psalm 53:1-6, Proverbs 22:28-29

Psalm 53:2-3
God looks down from heaven
    on the entire human race;
he looks to see if anyone is truly wise,
    if anyone seeks God.
But no, all have turned away;
    all have become corrupt.[b]
No one does good,
    not a single one!

We tend to fall for the lie that people are basically good.

We aren't.  No one's natural inclination is to do good.  Our natural inclination is to look out for ourselves.

We are all sinful.  We all need saving.  And none of us can save ourselves.

So thankful for God's forgiveness and mercy, and the incredible power of the Holy Spirit as we are transformed on the inside.

Tomorrow's Bible In a Year PassageIsaiah 6:1-7:25, 2 Corinthians 11:16-33, Psalm 54:1-7, Proverbs 23:1-3
