Monday, September 16: Isaiah 22:1-24:23, Galatians 2:17-3:9, Psalm 60:1-12, Proverbs 23:15-16

Today's passage from the Bible In a Year Reading Plan is Isaiah 22:1-24:23, Galatians 2:17-3:9, Psalm 60:1-12, Proverbs 23:15-16

14 The Lord of Heaven’s Armies has revealed this to me: “Till the day you die, you will never be forgiven for this sin.” That is the judgment of the Lord, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

We will face judgement. We all fall short. But we have forgiveness through Christ if we accept it.

Oh, foolish Galatians! Who has cast an evil spell on you? For the meaning of Jesus Christ’s death was made as clear to you as if you had seen a picture of his death on the cross. Let me ask you this one question: Did you receive the Holy Spirit by obeying the law of Moses? Of course not! You received the Spirit because you believed the message you heard about Christ. How foolish can you be? After starting your new lives in the Spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort? Have you experienced[b] so much for nothing? Surely it was not in vain, was it?

We can be so foolish. Our forgiveness was bought and paid for and not by our own works.

Now rescue your beloved people.
Answer and save us by your power.
We can only be redeemed through Christ.

16 Everything in me will celebrate
when you speak what is right.

Know the truth, speak the truth, live in the truth, be redeemed by the truth.

Tomorrow's Bible In a Year Passage: Isaiah 25:1-28:13, Galatians 3:10-22, Psalm 61:1-8, Proverbs 23:17-18
