Friday, June 7th: 1 Kings 2:1-3:2, Acts 5:1-42, Psalm 125:1-5, Proverbs 16:25 ~ Emma

Today's passage from the Bible In a Year Reading Plan is  1 Kings 2:1-3:2, Acts 5:1-42, Psalm 125:1-5, Proverbs 16:25

There is a path before each person that seems right,
    but it ends in death.
  • Proverbs 16:25

This verse made me think of our society today. We see a lot of views in the media that people have convinced themselves are the “right paths” (abortion, homosexuality, etc.), but we need to remember that these paths do end in death; they are not the paths the Lord has made for us to follow. We need to stay focused on God and His Word in order to stay away from taking these viewpoints on as our own.

Tomorrow's Bible In a Year Passage1 Kings 3:3-4:34; Acts 6:1-15; Psalm 126:1-6; Proverbs 16:26-27

A great reminder that we cannot trust our own imperfect judgment.
