Tuesday, February 27th: Numbers 28-30, Hebrews 10:1-18 ~ Danae

Today's passage from the Bible In a Year Reading Plan is Numbers 28-30, Hebrews 10:1-18

Hebrews 10:11-12-
Day after day every priest stands & performs his religious duties; again & again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God

I love the symbolism found in the Bible. It is clearly laid out for anyone to understand but, as you study, you see deeper meanings & so many intricacies woven in.

In these verses, it is mentioned that the priest continues to stand because the sacrifices offered by him were never enough. However, the new priest (Jesus) could sit after his sacrifice was offered because his work was finished.

God’s work is complete “because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy” (vs 14)

Only His sacrifice is enough. He alone is worthy.
