Today's passage from the Bible In a Year Reading Plan is Revelation 7-9
I've read the book of Revelation many times, but have always had a hard time understanding it. Parts of it I find easier to understand than the rest. Revelation often talks about the end times. Because I've felt that it's hard to understand everything that is explained in Revelation, it is best to have trust and faith in God about this.
One portion of today's reading that stood out for me was Revelation 7:14 - 17,
I answered, “Sir, you know.” And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. [15] Therefore, “they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence. [16] 'Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat down on them,' nor any scorching heat. [17] 17 For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; ‘he will lead them to springs of living water .’ b ‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes
These verses talk about a people who have gone through a great trial, and have come out of it victorious.
We all go through different types of trials, do we panic and look for any temporary help we can find? Or do we go to God, asking Him for wisdom and guidance to get us through?
Tomorrow's Bible In a Year Passage: Revelation 10-12

This passage stood out to me today....
After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes and held palm branches in their hands. And they were shouting with a great roar, "Salvation comes from our God who sits on the throne and from the Lamb!" 7:9-10
I love the unity of worship described here. It is so often discouraging to hear about incidents of racism, and incidents of disunity or fighting among believers. The day will come when all believers will be truly united before God!
