Wednesday, September 25th: Isaiah 45:11-48:11, Ephesians 4:1-16, Psalm 68:19-35, Proverbs 24:3-4 ~ Tammy

Today's passage from the Bible In a Year Reading Plan is  Isaiah 45:11-48:11, Ephesians 4:1-16, Psalm 68:19-35, Proverbs 24:3-4

Ephesians 4:Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.

How much different would our lives be if we actually did this?!  Obviously this is something we can only do through the power of the Spirit.  We are not naturally humble, and we are certainly not naturally patient (I know I'm sure not!).  We are quick to make allowances for ourselves, but not so much for each other's faults.

The first part of v2 reminds me of the Tim McGraw song "Always be humble and kind" and even the live version of Cinderella's "Have courage and be kind" quote.  I wonder where they got it from :)

Tomorrow's Bible In a Year PassageIsaiah 48:12-50:11, Ephesians 4:17-32, Psalm 69:1-18, Proverbs 24:5-6
