Thursday, February 7th: Exodus 26:1- 27:21, Matthew 25: 1-30, Psalm 31: 1-8, Proverbs 8: 1-11 ~ Tammy

Matthew 25: 10-13
“But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.
[11] “Later the others also came. 'Lord, Lord,' they said, 'open the door for us!'
[12] “But he replied, 'Truly I tell you, I don't know you.'
[13] “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.

This parable reminds us today that we need to be ready, God could take us anytime. Are we living for God the way He wants, do I put Him first?

Proverbs 8: 10-11
Choose my instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than choice gold,
[11] for wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her.

A good reminder of the importance of wisdom and living for the Lord. We often get caught up in working toward making more money or having more things, here we see a reminder that those things fall far short of following Jesus.
