Today's passage from the Bible In a Year Reading Plan is Isaiah 37-38; Colossians 3
Isaiah 38: 7-8
7 “ ‘This is the Lord ’s sign to you that the Lord will do what he has promised: [8] I will make the shadow cast by the sun go back the ten steps it has gone down on the stairway of Ahaz.' ” So the sunlight went back the ten steps it had gone down.
I've read this story before and am blown away by this miracle every time! A sure sign to those then, and us now, that God is supreme and all powerful.
Colossians 3: 1-2
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. [2] Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
A good reminder where our focus needs to be, "on things above". A good reminder for us today.
Tomorrow's Bible In a Year Passage: Isaiah 39-40; Colossians 4

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, - Colossians 3:23
Also a good reminder that we are working for someone and something much greater than what is here on earth.
