I do think it is interesting that Abraham pleads and bargains with God when it comes to holy people in evil cities and yet the Bible does not give any indication that Abraham even tried to bargain for his son's life. Is it because, now, in his advanced age and life experience, Abraham did finally trust God?

I also think it is an interesting parallel to think of God sacrificing his only son when there could be no other option...no ram in the bushes would ever take over the payment for sin.Pamelahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02770898936799604859noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4094248114996261058.post-9575987382932620842015-01-08T11:52:38.842-06:002015-01-08T11:52:38.842-06:00Something else that stuck out to me is the fact th...Something else that stuck out to me is the fact that Abraham was willing to commit the same sin as before. Especially after he would have witnessed what happened in Egypt when he passed Sarah off to Pharaoh as his sister at that time. He again finds himself in a similar situation and he only thinks of himself. He did not take into consideration how his actions would effect others.

Another good example of why we should trust God, and to let Him carry out His good and perfect plan!
