We can come to know God by reading the Bible and listening to what He is saying. To know Him truly requires having a relationship with Him. We must have the desire to spend time with Him, and by putting his Word into practice, we will begin to know the meaning of the truth that sets us free.

Unfortunately, too often we use the knowledge we have to try to show others how gifted we are. Abuse of knowledge can lead to rebellion against God, while true knowledge leads to eternal life. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.”Tammyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12045517118866436340noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4094248114996261058.post-32687712977824174032015-06-08T07:44:00.449-05:002015-06-08T07:44:00.449-05:00A verse that stood out to me was the explanation o...A verse that stood out to me was the explanation of how useless the idols were, that the Israelites were worshipping:

5 Their idols[e] are like scarecrows in a cucumber field,
and they cannot speak;
they have to be carried,
for they cannot walk.
Do not be afraid of them,
for they cannot do evil,
neither is it in them to do good.”

This makes it even more clear why it makes no sense to worship anything other than GodNathanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05983845317182469954noreply@blogger.com
