They didn't live there. They had no reason tone there crept for the census that was called. Did Caesar Augustus know that Jesus was to be born in Bethlehem? Likely not his motivation to call a census but still pretty coo to think that God used the census to place Mary and Joseph in the exact place they needed to be at the right time. I wonder how many times I have been in the right place at the right time because God used something to get me there.

This verse stood out for me too:

4 And he shall stand and shepherd his flock in the strength of the Lord,
in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God.
And they shall dwell secure, for now he shall be great
to the ends of the earth.
5 And he shall be their peace.Pamelahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02770898936799604859noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4094248114996261058.post-5709568976645774922015-12-26T08:59:36.487-06:002015-12-26T08:59:36.487-06:00I am always blown away with the fact that Judas ha...I am always blown away with the fact that Judas had a plan to betray Jesus and acted on it. It wasn't a spur of the moment kind of thing. It was thought out, he had to wait for his moment, and then acted upon it when the time came. And for what? Some money. Maybe his weekness was money, where for us it could be alcohol, or lying, or pornography. Either way, it reminds me that no matter how close we are to Jesus, we are not blocked from temptation. I'm not sure how many of the disciples that were with Jesus at that time knew what was about to happen.

I want to wish all readers of this blog a Merry Christmas!
